English camp and then the Burnhams are coming to America!

A long overdue hello to you, dear friends!

One of the biggest events for us each year is our week-long, evangelistic English Camp – the theme this year is “Satisfaction.”  It’s a time for us to get out of the city with dozens and dozens of people we’ve been investing in all year and spend quality time talking about spiritual matters (while teaching English, of course!)  There will be nearly 70 of us at camp this year, starting Monday, June 13th.  Please pray for the Holy Spirit to give our American and Ukrainian leaders the words to say as we present aspects of the Gospel through daily talks, lessons and discussion groups.  Pray also that He would open the ears, eyes and hearts of those who have not yet accepted His saving grace (about 65% of the group are unbelievers!).  Bob speaks on Wednesday (regarding How God’s Wrath is Satisfied through Jesus) and campers are invited to join us at church on Sunday, June 19th, where Bob will preach in English from Ecclesiastes.  Below is a pic from last year – we’ll be sure to send some fresh photos in the next week that show the 2016 group.  Thank you for your prayers as we approach the home-stretch of our overseas term 2012-2016!

Spring 2015-104

Coming to America!

It’s hard to believe that four years have flown by since our last home ministry assignment (aka “furlough,” aka “HMA”!)  It’s time, however, for us to pack up our things and head back to visit all of you, and share first hand how God is transforming Ukraine.  Here’s our travel schedule so far:

June 27  Fly from Ukraine to Pensacola, FL to see Bob’s family and friends at McIlwain PCA.

July 8 Drive (with our dog, Odessa-Joy) to Ridgehaven, NC for MTW Re-Entry conference.

July 15 Drive to Littleton, CO (hopefully by way of Christ Presbyterian Tulsa, OK) to visit school friends, Andrea’s family and Deer Creek PCA.

August 3 Drive to Lawrenceville, GA where we’ll settle into a home, get the girls in school, and visit newly formed Restoration PCA.

Beyond that we’re still working out bugs, but we’ll let you know when we’re heading your way.  We can’t wait to see all of you!

Odessa MK Graduation 2016-135

Thank you for partnering with us in love, encouragement, and support as we bring the good news of reconciliation through our Savior, Jesus Christ, to Odessa, Ukraine.

We’ve missed catching up with you in person!

Love,

Bob, Andrea, Abigail, Emily & Iris Burnham
